For my part, if we talk about changes that I could make to my study program, I would definitely start with the first year, I think that many of the courses that are taught in the first and second semesters are extremely introductory, to the point that we only have a course on psychology itself, everything else I think was a lot of filler. This can also generate too much demotivation in students, since one goes with a special idealization when just entering the career.
For the same reason, it would considerably reduce the duration of the degree to only 4 years, I think that with that it would be more than enough to introduce the necessary knowledge to be a good professional.
Regarding the infrastructure of the university, I would make several changes. Starting by improving the poor connectivity that a large part of the rooms have, it is not possible for so much money to reach the university and even so, only some rooms have internet to record the classes and others do not, this is very little inclusive for those classmates who do not have the opportunity to attend face-to-face classes for various reasons. I would also analyze the subject of the sections, there are certain classes where a single teacher is teaching 180 students and obviously, the voice is not enough for such large spaces. In addition, it will never be possible to do a complete learning to all that number of students.
As for teaching methods, I think it would be much more practical to do hybrid classes taking into consideration the students of the region and also, we are still in the context of a pandemic, one of us could get sick any day.
Hi Selim, it is true what you say about the poor connectivity in the classrooms, I consider hybrid classes very important for those who need it, especially because we are still in a pandemic.
ResponderEliminarHi, I agree with you. The topic of connectivity and the internet is important, and unfortunately, the university has not taken it into account.
ResponderEliminarHi selim, I belive the same of you respect the bad conditions of the university for the people that can not to be participate of the classes face to face. And I think your point about the high number of students in the classrooms, which makes learning difficult for all students, is a very important point because I think it must be a factor of great fatigue and stress for the teacher to have to teach a class for a high number of students.
ResponderEliminarHello Selim, you have a very critical opinion about this, I love it!!!!!!!! jajajaja
